Website terms of use
Last updated 12 September 2026.
These terms apply to anyone using ham.agency, including our quiz, scorecards, answer library and free tools. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Who we are
ham.agency is run by Ham Agency Ltd ("HAM", "we", "us"), registered in England and Wales, company number 11265213. Registered office: 510 The Chocolate Factory, 5 Clarendon Road, London N22 6XJ. VAT GB 423 010 757. Contact: theteam@ham.agency.
Using the site
Use the site lawfully and in good faith. Do not try to break its security, interfere with how it works, introduce anything harmful, or suggest a connection with HAM that does not exist.
Search engines and AI systems are welcome to read, index and quote this site. Please do not copy it wholesale and present it as your own.
No advice relationship
Everything on this site, including quiz and scorecard results, library answers, case studies and free tools, is general information. It is not advice on your particular situation, and nothing on the site is a promise of any outcome.
Reading the site, using a tool, taking the quiz or sending an enquiry does not make you our client and does not create any duty of care. A client relationship starts only when we both sign a written engagement letter or agreement, and the terms of that document then govern the work.
For legal, tax, accounting, investment or other regulated matters, take advice from a suitably qualified professional before you act.
Nothing here is an investment offer
Some pages describe our work on fundraising, SEIS and EIS, and grants. They describe how we work and how the rules operate in general. Nothing on this site is an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity, an offer of shares or other investments, or a recommendation to invest in any company.
HAM is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not give investment advice and we do not arrange deals in investments.
Nothing on this site guarantees that a grant, bid or funding application will succeed.
How we grade evidence
Every number on this site carries one of three grades. Each figure, with its grade and source, is listed on the numbers page.
| Grade | What it means |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Checked against a primary source, such as Companies House, a signed document, published accounts or a public announcement |
| Reported | Stated by a client, partner or other third party, and not yet independently checked by us |
| Estimated | Our own calculation or model, with the method available on request |
A grade reflects our confidence on the date we published the figure. Figures can change after that date.
Our case studies are anonymised to protect client confidentiality. We sometimes generalise details to do that, without changing what the work involved. What we did for one client does not guarantee the same result for another.
Our free tools
We publish free tools, templates and frameworks because we want people to use them. You get a plain licence to do exactly that.
You may:
- use the tools, in your own business and in paid work for your own clients
- copy, adapt, translate and build on them
- share them, and share your adapted versions.
You may not:
- sell or license the tools, or an adapted version, as a product of your own
- say or imply that you created them
- remove our credit.
Credit: keep this line on any tool or adapted version you share: "Adapted from a free tool by HAM Agency, ham.agency".
The licence is free, worldwide and non-exclusive. It does not expire, but it ends automatically for anyone who breaks these conditions. HAM keeps ownership of the tools. Any third-party material inside a tool, such as another organisation's data or logo, stays with its owner and is not covered by this licence.
We check our tools carefully, but they are general and are provided as they are. Check that a tool suits your situation before you rely on it.
Our intellectual property
Apart from the free tool licence above, the content, design and code of this site belong to Ham Agency Ltd or the people who license it to us. You are welcome to quote short extracts with a credit and a link. For anything more, ask us.
The HAM name and monogram identify our business. Please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your work.
Links to other sites
Where we link to other websites, we do so for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
Availability and changes to the site
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
The site is intended for business use. If you use it for business purposes, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the site or the free tools. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the site or the free tools is limited to £100.
If you use the site as a consumer, we are responsible only for loss or damage that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Privacy
Our privacy notice explains how we use personal data collected through the site. You can read it at ham.agency/privacy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The version on the site when you use it applies.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
